Scenic View from the Top

Nothing beats the view of the sea, the sky and the mountains. It is my favorite color of nature. I can just stare at it all day.

This is one of my fave spot during our tour. We got our good bangkero who is very supportive in taking good shots for our touristy photo here in Matinloc shrine.

If you go to Philippines you get used to great island and amazing beaches. This spot is very different comparing with the other stops. When you arrive to the island you cannot see what´s inside. Once you get there, and after a short walk, you notice a big but abandoned building with an outdoor chapel. You can climb a little... More

Abandoned mansion in an island with a shrine. View was spectacular. One of a kind. Climbing up a hill you could see the island view which was really beautiful.

One of the many stops on the island hopping trip. An old shrine with a statue of Mary, and a climb up some steps to get a nice view of the surrounding islands.

My initial review of Miniloc Resort was negative. Since then, the resort has earned my respect by fixing all problems and is now highly recommended. In my many years, I have travelled around the world many times over and have stayed at many of the world’s best hotels (and also at some of the not so good ones). I have... More

Matinloc Shrine is one of the famous tourist spots in El Nido. A boat ride from the mainland will bring you to this beautiful place. You will see the religious roots and values of the Filipino people in this island. Shrines and statues of saints and other catholic idols can be found. Also, you can climb up the steep man-made... Getting to the top of the rock is the best view in the neighboring islands. Best place for snorkeling too with very clear water and beautiful corals.
