Baclayon is a grand old 16th century coral stone church situated a short drive, south east of Tagbiliran City. If open, check out the museum. 30 minutes is ample time here. Incorporate the church in your Loboc River Cruise, Corella Tarsier Sanctuary, Bilar forest circuit.

The church is big and there are many Old and antique statue of saints inside the church near the entrance. The altar is so grand and old. A museum is adjacent to the church. Parking is available after paying the museum fee.

This is a very old church and has some repairs being made. Our guide told us that many churches in Bohol were damaged by the earthquake. As they require visitors not to wear shorts, they provide shawl-like fabrics to cover your legs. They can be...More

We can only be thankful to the national and local authorities for the excellent work in restoring the second oldest (some claim it to be a few years older than San Agustin in Intramuros) church in the country. The Church of Our Lady of Immaculate...More

Visited church too late in the evening so it was already closed. Our visit was few years after the earthquake so the church was already restored at least to its original shape but not the materials.

This is one of the oldest churches in Bohol. Its made of coral stone and is crossed shaped. Very beautiful inside. This church had to be restored due to an earthquake.

Beautiful inside, and out. They have a museum where you cannot take photos. They have a souvenir shop at the end of the museum tour. This is a must-see for everyone. I love this church. Make sure you're wearing pants, or long skirts when entering.

Stopped here as part of a day tour and was introduced to Rita who provides tours of the church, the oldest on the island of Bohol. We recalled the 2013 earthquake that partially destroyed the main part of the church and devastated the bell tower,...More

As a Catholic living in a country with the opportunity to visit a different church every day of the year it takes a lot to impress me. From the outside the church looks quite unassuming and I wasn't expecting much but how wrong was I!...More

All the tours want you to stop here but don’t, just drive past and you will see it. Yes it looks pretty but it’s just another church. Also it is currently being renovated at the moment
