    Like Maldives but much cheaper
The fine fine white sand was great to walk on. The water is very shallow for quite a bit so easy for non swimmers to enjoy. Lots of activities but sometimes the constant selling of paddle boarding, island hopping, sailing etc was too much. Very kid friendly

    Station 1 the best
Pristine beaches. The sand was so fine it feels like flour! The shallow parts extends up to 7-8 meters(?) from the beach, so safe for kids and non-swimmers. Tip is to go to station 1 area if you want a more relaxed and chill vibe, better beach, and not too many tourists too.

    White Beach Station 1
The perfectly cool and fine white sand, plus the clean and clear blue water is just truly divine...whether the weather's fine or not. It's perfectly safe. I'm not a swimmer, but their locals make sure everyone's safe at all times. The water sports activities are awesome! The food and the hotels are all good. I would recommend supporting our locals there. Their business may not be as fancy as the big time ones, but the products and services are awesome! You know that everything they do is from the heart. ♥️

    More tourists than coconuts
Long 4.4 km (I walked it) beach of mostly fine white sand and shallow clear water though at the south end the sand is a little coarser and there is sea grass. No matter - it's nature. The beachfront path is lined with shops, restaurants, hair braiding, massage, KFC, Starbucks, you name it and touts who will ask you if you want to buy sunglasses when you're already wearing a pair. You don't get that in Port Barton.

    Nice day on the beach
The sand is most definately powdery white, far more so than many beaches around the world. We chose to be at the furthest end, away from the shops which was the best option. Too busy near the shops, too much hassle from people selling on the beach and lots of seaweed along the edge of the sea, whereas the other end is much better. Tuk tuk hire very good. Visiting the shops was fun and locals very friendly

    Watch out for falling coconuts
This was my second visit to the island. Once again I stayed at Station 3 as I find this end has less tourists around and it is quieter at night. Plenty of tourists coming and going each day. I noticed along Station 3 many of coconut trees where people walk have coconuts on them. This is a very dangerous environment to be walking through. I did not check whether Stations 1 and 2 were similar. The authorities should address this problem before someone is seriously injured or killed.

Voted #18 best beach in world
This beach is one of my favouites and one of the best in the Philippines. It was recently voted #18 in the world. The white sand and crystal clear waters are stunning. Dining at the many beachfront restaurants and bars, you will have fantastic views of the beach. Sunset is a really special time and you will see many Paraw Sailing boats in the area.

    Boracay is overrated
Beach was calm and warm. Sand was fine and powdery. It was just too many people on land selling you things and too many people on the water on paddle boats etc - also selling you things! its not relaxing. Plus there was so much seaweed/algae washing up on the shore - the cleaners can barely keep up!!!

    Re-visiting Boracay after22 years.
Sand is still awesome. Clean-up was happened a while ago and it would not hurt to remove those sticks leaves and other organic rotting debris from time to time as well. Anyway, the beach is still one of the most beautiful around. As for the other side of the beach walk, incredible changes happen. Not necessarily for the good. So many big resorts and hotels side by side. We somewhat miss the old Boracay here, the place where backpackers, divers and people for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing meet. But that is just how times are heading to, consuming, commercialized environment as every tourist hot spot. Don’t get me wrong, it it good to be here, hotel is nice, staff everywhere friendly and attentive. Food is mainly a ripoff, you must be lucky to pick the right location. Restaurants of big hotels are no Garantie for good food - we rather experience the opposite - lousy food but highly overpriced.

Boracay is beautiful beach but ruined by tour agents touting for business.
Boracay has fantastic sandy beach with beautiful sunsets but the beach is full of tour agents and staff touting massage services - it totally ruins what should be a relaxing holiday. On top of that you then have the paddle board operators all along the beach too. Then there are all the restaurant staff standing outside waving menus … So if you want a quiet relaxing beach then avoid White Beach on Boracay I can’t understand the authorities allowing so many tour agents - just 20 on the beach would be more than enough instead of well over 100 - you can’t walk 10 metres without coming across another tour agent waving a card with the same photos that all the other tour agents have.

After a 20 minute ride on the hop-on-hop-off bus, we arrived at white beach. A pretty cool area with shopping, restaurants, and a nice beach area. However, ruined by hawkers selling whatever. And it doesn’t stop, no matter how far you trek they keep coming at you. Too bad because it could be a nice area to visit. Will not return.

Pristine white sand and the turquoise beaches makes Boracay a holiday paradise. Add to that the breathtaking sunsets, fun water activities, a booming nightlife and a plethora of top rated restaurants and resorts, and it is simply one of the best holiday destinations for couples and families alike.

Clean, tidy, no thrash, no dog poop White Beach is a fun place to spend a week as a beach bum.

From 5☆ Hotels, The Lind, to D' Mall or from Station 1 to Station 3 there are many very good restaurants and bars. Our favorite hangout was Cafe del Sol for coffee and cheesecake and Aria Cusina Italiana for pizza and pasta. There is a new restaurant The Royal Indian Curry House that is excellent

As we stayed at The Lind we were not bothered by the large number of beach goers but if you have been to Spain, Italy or Greece they are also crowded so nothing new here

You have to try the Paraw Sailing. Its a one of a kind thrll not found anywhere else!

Overall, Boracay is still a great place, offering the best standards

Nice beach that has been cleaned up, very busy , lots of amenities, restaurants, boat trips, the usual tourist attractions. I wouldn’t say it’s a relaxing place but lovely views with beautiful soft sand and crystal clear water near station 3.

After having visited the White Beach several time within the last 15 years, it was my first time there after the closure and the implementation of the new rules in 2018.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place anymore because of the following:
1. You are not able to have a relaxed sun bath to get some suntan at the beach anymore because there are no sunbeds allowed.
2. You cannot sit at the beach with a nice drink during sunset because drinks are not allowed there anymore.
3. You cannot have a nice dinner in an open air restaurant at the beach anymore (apart from one or two exceptions at station 1) because it is not allowed anymore. Instead, you need to sit in one of the indoor restaurants in the village and feel as if you were at home.
4. There is no open air party at the beach anymore where you can enjoy relaxed beachlife with your friends. There are still a couple of clubs on the island but not at the beach and indoor only.
5. By the way, kids are not even allowed to play with the sand building sandcastles anymore.

So, you still have a lovely white sandy beach and great sunsets but you can basically just walk up and down and take pictures which is not my understanding of a great holiday at an otherwise great beach...

This has to be the most overhyped beach in the world. We have just travelled 5 weeks in the Philippines + this is easily the worst place we visited.

CONS
-water is full of green plumes (which can be toxic to certain people)
-water is polluted (garbage floating everywhere)
-there is a speed boat / large boat going by every 3 minutes (out about 100 meters from shore) creating a continuous barrage of uneven swells...which make swimming unenjoyable
-beach is extremely commercial...with big crowds everywhere
-hawkers are selling you stuff every 20-30 meters
-walking up on the top of the beach feels like you are walking on a busy city street...especially at sunset

PROS
-the beach has potential to be fantastic...but you would have to reduce the number of visitors by 75% + clean up the water

This is one of the best beaches I have visited. Beautiful waters, long beach, specially the north of Station 1. Highly recommended!
