There's a lot to do on this beach. Water sports, food, bars. Still to try all that I can possibly do during my week stay here. ´The beach bar' is like 300m or so from the Lind and is probably the best night life on...More

I refused to get in the water. Granted, I'm a bit picky about swimming in clean water. The algae bloom was out of control. Likely due to household pollution. As lovely a place as this area might be, I find the waters gross and don't...More

If you love to party, Boracay vibe is the best!. And to all jerks, trying hard to be green, who keep saying that Boracay lost its glory, too many people, commercialized, etc., buzz off!!! Do your research, please! . If you want a secluded island,...More

Pretty much the only beach in Boracay worth the visit, unless you stay at the shangri la, very touristy but still really clean. Gets crowded around sunset.

A real life post card. So so stunning I can't even describe it. Think of paradise and that's what White Beach looks like. It's very safe too, there are security guards patrolling 24/7 and they also make sure hawkers don't hassle you in private areas...More

I frequent beaches in and around the Philippines and abroad; just before Boracay I had gone off the beaten path to Cebu and Leyte to find great beaches, and while they were breathtaking to say the least, nothing compares to Boracay. People may deplore the...More

Never leave Boracay without marveling at the awesome sunset. Each one is definitely unique and photo-worthy. Take as many pictures from different angles and stages, and bring home the heartwarming memories with you.

Why visit and support this seedy/environmental disaster of a place!!? Having travelled around the Philippines and seen some incredible places, borocay is bottom of the pile of the memorable moments! (Including some brutal bus journeys!) The nightlife is strained and seedy and the beaches are far worse than others around the Philippines! The beaches are covered in green algae caused by high nutrient waters fed by poor sanitation and sewage systems from the local hotels and bars. (My own knowledge of this sort of thing, if you don't believe me, look it up!). If you wish to spend a holiday sharing your time with seedy guys or swim in faecal rich waters than visit borocay! You never know you might come back with a disease or two if your lucky!!!

I totally agree. And they keep building. I suspected the algae was the result of poor sanitation systems. The other part of the island near the port did not have this issue. And unless you have $800/night to spend at the... More

Hi, will be visiting Phils in May and thinking of going to Boracay. Can you recommend which station is better and not too crowded and which hotel is just mid range? Thanks a lot

Station 1 is the less crowded and for sure the best one. Cannot recommend a mid range hotel, but Friday´s is a classic in that area.-
