Travel time from Cebu City would take 2hours but seeing the magnificent Simala shrine once you arrive is worth the time spent on the road. Catholics flock the Shrine to pray to Mama Mary or hear mass. There is a daily mass at 12:00noon. Every Sunday there is a novena and the rosary is prayed before the Holy mass. Most... More

This church is amazing. Its about 2+ hours from Cebu City but worth the ride. Its huge and they are still doing more construction. The inside is a amazing and beautiful as the outside and nice views of the surrounding area. Definitely lots of photo opportunities. Its free to see but the do accept donations if you wish to give.

It's around 2-3 hr drive from Cebu City... Simala Shrine or the Monastery of the Holy Eucharist located at Marian Hills, Lindogon Sibongan, Cebu is amazing. A church inside is full of life-sized saints and other religious stuff. The Monastery is the place where the ‘Mga Monghe ni Maria’ lives. The place is breathtaking, solemn where you can pray /say... I have always had a special connection to the Virgin Mary because of my mom, so coming here felt great . It is a beautiful place with so many different Virgin Mary representations from around the world . My advice is to not wear any fancy shoes , just a regular flip flop because you will have to leave it... More

Gave it a 4 only because it is still under construction which I believe will be never ending. Amazing, amazing, amazing. I especially liked the displays inside where people gave testimonial to the miracles and answered prayers. Really genuine feelings and emotions. It was a long ride from Cebu City which was kind of a drag.

A beautiful place and it was awesome just being there. My wife and I owe it all to our taxi driver who suggested it. We didn't have time to visit the entire place so when we go back to Cebu we are going early and spend the day there.
