We used the Sentosa Express to travel from Imbiah Station to Vivo City. It was being managed by young students and they were doing their job quite professionally. The ride up to Vivo City with a brief halt at waterfront station was quite comfortable.

Depends on what you want to visit. Within Sentosa there are three stations which are accessible through the monorail. But in USS there’s some walking involved as the entire place has to be covered on foot and one has to stand in queue for at least 40-50 mins for each rides. You can purchase separate priority passes which will shorten the queue.
No, you have to buy tickets to get into Universal Studios. You can get these at Sentosa, just outside the entrance. The Sentosa Express costs S$5 from Vivo City, but once on Sentosa you can use it as much as you like.
Hi there, I've been there before10am (last Sep). Individual shops were closed when I arrived but escalators (and maybe some lifts) were operating. Just follow the 'sentosa express' sign and go straight to the 3rd floor ;)
