Nice walk and forest-like scenario inside the city

As most mentioned, this is not so easily accessible so the surrounding here is really quiet and peaceful. It winds down to Hort Park and is part of the Southern Ridges Walk...so you could continue all the way to Mount Faber, passing the Alexander Arch, the Forest Walk trail, and the Henderson Wave. There are 2 car parks, one before... More

Quiet place as not easily accessible. Very nice place to watch sun set. You can walk by the canopy walk to Hort Park and Henderson Bridge.

From the city centre take the yellow line and get off at Buena Vista, then either walk or take the bus towards Kent Ridge. Nice ups and downs will guide towards the local vegetation and further to a common area where to have picnic, lay down on the grass or admire the view of the city from a different view.... More

(Dec 26) Started from Holt Park/Gillman Barracks (number 8 on the map) and walked towards Mt. Faber then down to vivo city/ harbour front mrt (number 1). This direction involves less steep upward climb than the other way. The raised walkway is amazing and cool (temperature) with the sounds of birdsong. I like the information boards about which animals/birds you... More

Started out at Kent Ridge MRT, turned left onto Science Park Drive and walked for about 15 minutes past a series of tower complexes comprising government agencies, universities and technology companies. Then we found we'd overshot the park entrance because there is no sign on this side of the road. After retracing our steps, we entered Kent Ridge Park to... More

Nice place is you are keen for walking. I put four star rating as it is well done, but very ordinary. U can find a lot of places like that in Singapore.

Kent Ridge Park is part of an interconnecting parks, forests and green belts that run for 10 km along the top of Singapore's Southern Ridges. Apart from its nature attractions, Kent Ridge has special interest to military history buffs because of the ferocious battles fought along its ridges between the defending British forces and the invading Japanese. But for fitness... More

I like taking a Saturday early morning walk through this park. Usually I start from Pasir Panjag entry (near Haw Par Villa), then walk up a few hundreds of meters. The most exciting is the canopy walk, it is the walk on a long bridge above the trees. The view is splendid and I often meet there other morning walkers.... More

While staying in Buona Vista, it was my regular routine to do morning jogging in this park..In case you happen to stay in West Singapore, you may pay a visit to this place to have a nice view to the harbour side.. Very well maintained horticultural park.. Worth keeping one morning to your Singapore itinerary for this park..

OK, I'm a little biased because I live really, really, close by and I've been going there for years! But let me tell you why I like it: 1. It's serene, quiet. 2. The horticulture is fantastic. 3. It's on a small hill so you get a view of the port, but more importantly beautiful sunsets (it's on the West... More
