Wonderful place for those who are interested in religious places and muslim ones in particular. I highly recommend you to go inside even if you are not of muslim religion.

It is an interesting building, but had little devouts in there. The organization was very keen in explaining the Islam to non-belivers and offered books and leaflets to desmistify this faith. All in all I think it would have been better if I could have catched a ceremony / event though.

The place seems quite famous among tourists. It was my guest who wanted to go and I show her the way. The Mosque is small but architecture... More

This is a real gem on Dunlop Street in Little Indian. The architecture is amazing! There is an information room for non-muslims. Definitely should be included in your Singapore Visit!

Masjid Abdul Gaffoor is a lovely piece of architecture and the must see Mosque in Singapore. It is massive and its gold domes look magnificent. We had a lovely walk of Singapore taking a look at all the temples and mosques we could find - we recommend that you take time to explore some of them yourselves.

One of the oldest mosque ever built in singapore! It's standing elegantly with its architectural designs. All tourist must go to this mosque as its welcome to everyone and they will teach us a bit more about the history! Wonderful cafes nearby! Such as The Malayan Council serving Singapore fusion food!! Good local dishes to try out for tourists!! I... More

This place is one of the most beautiful mosque in Singapore. It is quite big and can filled by many prayer. It's location is not far away from Little India MRT Station. Just take a walk by 15 minutes and you will have arrived here. In this area, there are so many cheap and nice hotel, especially for backpackers.

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
