Nevertheless that this is a sign of tragedy there are a lot of people sitting around. Thats a very calm place to sit, read, listen to music, do a pitstop.

A bueatiful tribute to all those who lost their lives during World War 2 from 1942-1945. Also the families who suffered doing the war.

An interesting memorial to the Civilians that lost their lives during a terrible time in Singapore History. It is great that the Chinese Chamber Of Commerce, The Singapore Government & People decided to raise funds for this Memorial. May be better to have a night...More

As a war memorial it's not outstanding but if you are close then take a look and pay respects to history.

Nothing really to look at - very basic with limited information. On the plus side nice quiet place to stop to get your bearings.

Its a very averagely designed memorial. Doesn't really awe you! It may be a symbol for a traumatic time but design wise and as a tourist-attraction, it doesn't provide anything.

While this might not take a huge amount of time to visit, it is still a rather sobering place namely because it recognises the civilians who lost their lives during the Japanese occupation of Singapore. Initially I expected to be dedicated to the military, however...More
