This is a Museum you should definitely visit its wonderful, one of the best small museums I have ever been too, only wish we had more time there, but we had also booked to see the pengwins, staff are the best, so informative, and friendly. One day in the Falkland is never enough.

This museum has only re-opened recently and is truly excellent if you want to know more about the Falkland Islanders way of life from early times. The Conflict of 1982 is well documented in a very precise way without triumphalism. I was a soldier during the Conflict so know the history very well. A must visit on any Falklands visit.... More

The new museum in Port Stanley is well thought out and beautifully presented. It covers the human and natural history of these stunning islands with great exhibits. There is a small section about the 1982 invasion but this is not overdone and is thought provoking without being overwhelming. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. If you are in Port... This museum has moved to the old dock yard in the middle of Stanley. As far as I am aware it is no longer open to the public

Small but informative museum. It's a walking distance from the harbor. I can't imagine why 2 nations went into a cruel war over this island. This precious land should be kept intact for wildlife. Walking along the road by the shore line in the cold weather and stopped at the Upland Goose Hotel for a cup of tea was fantastic.
