Our family travelled 1.5hrs from Pucon to Heurquehue. GPS error added an extra 15 min. Road in is mostly gravel, with steep gradients, sharp bends and great views. We had a Subaru Forrester but most cars were 2WD. CONAF entry charge is approximately P10,000 per adult, children U12 free, with no credit cards accepted. Having an AWD meant we could... More

We went on the Los Lagos trail and the climb was a bit challenging but it was worth it. It took us 6 hours with both of the waterfalls and making the "small shortcut" at the end so not going to the last final lake. Take some lunch with you and have a swim in the lake :) it was... More

It is difficult to get to this pact. We drove up to it via a torturous path. We did not get the beautiful reflections of the lake but that may have been due to us going there in the later afternoon. The hikes are well market. If you have the time it can be a fun visit. I also understand... More

We did the lake walk which was a nice woodland walk. If you are looking for views then this walk is not for you. It is mainly through woodlands and there are only two viewpoints of the volcano. It was nice to get out of the sun and into the shade of the trees. It is easy to get here... More

Went on an all day, 6 hour hike here. Great spots for lunch along the lake, and incredible views along the way up. Glad I wore my hiking boots - couldn't believe there were folks in flip flops...

we did the los logos hike. It was a nice vertical climb to a series of lakes. The lakes and views were very nice. Not much different than the hikes we have in Colorado, so I can't say it was something I never seen before. However, it was nice.

We were at this park yesterday. The road there does not have proper signs, at several points we almost turned around as we had no idea if we are on the right dirt road. But what made me give this magnificent park only three stars is the fact that they made us , the foreigners not in the know, park... More

Huerquehue NP has very vast and beautiful scenes for the trekking lovers to enjoy. The Lakes trail is easy and very enjoyable. Takes around 6 hour to complete the trail (14 km), and lakesides are the perfect picnic location. For those of you who crave for a harder trail, go to San Sebastian trail. 24 km long, takes around 8-9... More

If you are staying in Pucon and looking for a nice trek- this is a great option. The park is very beautiful and has many lakes. We did 2 days of trekking (los huerequehues) including sleeping in a tent in the park. Based on the public bus you can get from Pucon to the park and back. Very nice views-... More
