    Breath taking view
Spectacular view of the river and volcano. Definitely a visit if you are in the south of Chile. There are some large annoying bugs all over the place, but you just have to keep scaring them away. Breath taking views are great. You pay 2000 for parking but afterwards I realized that if I had driven a bit more, I could have parked for free along the road. Nice gift shops.

The perfect outdoor setting with amazing backdrop
Saltos del Petrohue is perfect setting to take in the beauty that is the country of Chile. The rapids have well constructed walkways over the various parts of the rapids, all of which are wide enough to let several people pass. Obviously, there are places where everyone wants to take pictures, but these more crowded areas are quickly cleared and everyone is able to take in the terrific views. The water is an amazing blue-green color that's not to be missed. The setting is perfect and the volcano makes an impressive backdrop for any photo. Definitely a must see location when in Puerto Varas.

    Very nice area
Our tour from the cruise ship stopped at Petrohue Rapids. Here we walked along a path to see the rapids and several waterfalls that were in the area. The area was very nice and there were several visitors when we visited. I would recommend coming here. Well worth the time.

Nice place to visit. Wear waterproof clothing. The trails can be slippery.
Nice place to visit. Close to the falls, there is a lot of moisture and wind. You may end up all wet. Wear waterproof clothing if you want to be there sightseeing for some time. The trails can be slippery, so it's best to wear good shoes.

    World-class views and very accessible.
World-class. Just wonderful. There are 3 walking routes you can do, 1 to the main falls and view of Osorno volcano (500m and very smooth accessible path suitable for wheelchair/pram) a second loop (680m easy walking but not for wheelchair/pram) to some additional viewpoints of the river and a separate smaller fall, and a third slightly longer loop (1km not for wheelchair/pram) through the forest. We did all 3 and included a meal stop in the on site cafe/restaurant after the second just because we could. ( great photo opportunity with one of the foxes that can be found in many of the local tourist car parks). Just lovely.

This stop was included in my expedition, so I decided to fork over the money to visit inside.
There are great views of the river and the large, majestic mountains next it with some deep blue water.
Though when I went there, the rapids weren't as strong, so it wasn't as great as it could have been.
The park has a cafe and bathrooms and a gift shop and mini-market at the entrance. Entrance is 7,000 CLP for foreigners. Credit cards accepted.

Really impressive! Great views of falls/rapids in a beautifully coloured river with forest and volcano backdrop. 3 seperate trails to viewpoints, really good photo access right up close to the water. Significant new infrastruction to upgrade the pathways and bridge, you feel very secure. Each trail is fairly short for walkers of all ages. Each one takes between 10 and 30 minutes. Also, we had a nice bite of lunch at the restaurant located where the 3 trails split off.
