Very interesting view of the volcano but a little rough to visit it. Honestly I prefer volcano Osorno where you can go by car till the base and after you have different possibilities to climb

We had a private driver takes us up to the ski hut Nice to see especially when the sun is out. Ice cap melting so perhaps one day no ice cap to see.

It is well worth climbing the volcano Osorno .. The climb can be made by car to a reasonable height, and with a very beautiful view ... On the one hand, the view from the top of the volcano, with lots of snow .. on the other side, The view of Lake LLanquihue and the region. Enjoy the trip to... More

I know it was snowing, but I was surprise with the wind and cold up there. Almost all days the're a fog up there, so we didn't try the seat cables until the top. But the view until there is amazing =D

My husband and I arranged to climb this volcano with a local guide. While the guide was fantastic - I can't understate how difficult the climb was. We have "climbed" several (hiking / scrambling) mountains around the world and have also completed many multi-day treks, but an ascent of 1500 vertical meters over 6kms (12kms return - taking 10 hours)... Situated on the other side of the Llanquihue lake (that means you are by the Osorno volcano on the kake itself or by the shore) and looking north you will have the chance to contemplate the Calbuco volcano. It is quite a big one and it eruped in 2015 apparently. I sure would have liked to see that ! Now... More

This volcano no longer has a glacial top because it blew in the summer of 2015. Like toddlers, they look so peaceful when they're sleeping! Google Calbuco 2015 eruption for the the REAL character of these magnificient volcanoes.

We went on an independent tour through GV tours and stopped numerous times for photos of this MAJESTIC volcano!!! You will marvel to see the large crater from the April 23, 2015 eruption!! Ya gotta stop to see this one!!! Stop in to see the Bombón restaurant as well to see how it was destroyed and was rebuilt in a... More

We decided to do a walk/climb until above the vegetation line and not climb the top. With guide Jose Miguel from Huella Andina Expediciones we drove as far as we could with the 4WD to the base. We crossed some private properties. This area is heavely covered with small stones from the explosion. Some of the trees are getting new... More

We came to see the volcano with an excursion from our cruise ship. The mountains and rivers are spectacular so either come with an excursion from your ship or hire a local guide. It's great!
