nice to go up to see the statue and then the views, especially if it is clear. walk up or down through the park rather than taking the little train up the hill, if you can.

Take the funicular up to the top. Excellent views of the Andes Mountains. There are also some walking trails but unfortunately I didn't realise and didn't allow enough time to explore them.

This hill is the most reknown in Santiago and a great way to see city and its differences from the top. To get there, I used the old funicular - the only one in the city. I recommend it!

If you ever go to Santiago, you have to go to this hill. Not for the hill itself (it has some interesting things like a zoo, funicular, and a huge statue) but for the impressive sightseeing of all the Santiago city and the andes mountains....More

It's a nice view of Santiago for sure but be prepared to wait an hour or two to get to the cable car up the hill.

Please, go up on weekends, use the road coming from "Pedro de Valdivia Norte" is the best route. Ask for a "Mote con huesillo" when you get to the top. It costs around USD$5 and is super nice! It has "mote" which is a kind...More

I have visited twice in my 5.5 months in Santiago - once in Winter, once in Summer. Both visits were great and offered different views of the city. Also, I have always taken the cable car "sola ida" (one way) and walked down. I would...More

A great spot to get a view of Santiago, the mountains and of course the pollution. The church and statue are good and the history of the spot is interesting. Enjoyed the hour or so we spent there.

Hi, Do you mean the funicular train up to the top? It's CLP 2,000 round-trip. But I am not sure about the Zoo.

We were there in late morning but, considering the 360 degree view from the top, the sunrise should be nice IF the sky is clear, which is a very rare occasion in Santiago. It is not a climb but a nice walk uphill, on an... More
