We were looking forward to visiting the hill though it was a daunting prospect for elderly people. Fortunately there is a funicular to take you to the top. Combined with a cable car ride, it makes for an enjoyable visit. Once up the top there's...More

The views from the top are great but much of the top of the Cerro San Cristobal is given over to hard paving to accommodate an annual pilgrimage. Re-establishing locally indigenous vegetation on the top of the hill and controlling the woody weeds on the...More

Lots of hidden trails and spectacular views. Make sure you get Mote con Huesillo at the peak! Most refreshing (kind of sweet) tradional drink plus an empanada de pino.

Besides the nice view of the city, the place has a nice religious atmosphere. Nothing too appealing, just calm and relaxing.

The queue for the tram was really long so we walked up. It was steep but took 30 mins at a brisk pace. Nice views at the top.

Hi, Do you mean the funicular train up to the top? It's CLP 2,000 round-trip. But I am not sure about the Zoo.
