The plaza is always buzzing and full of life. Here you can visit the cathedral or set off around and about to explore the city. You can also take the open top bus tour from here. Great to wander and people to watch.

This was part of our Sunday stroll around Santiago. Lots of people and entertainment. Interesting but the area would not be our first choice for restaurants

With its historic cathedral, Plaza de Armas in Santiago is the city's main square. There is a city park and historic buildings and monuments. We had a quick stop while on a tour, less than an hour, and we didn't need any more time.
