We found this park as we walked around the city when everything was closed on a public holiday, and our tour to Valparaiso was stuffed up by the hotel. So we came upon a hill which had been turned into a park - Santa Lucia . Santiago was founded here in 1541, and the top of the hill was used... More

This park is situated on a hill in downtown Santiago. It's a nice escape from the craziness of the city for an hour. Includes some historical buildings and monuments. It's nice, but nothing amazing.

Its definitly worth a visit! this little parque is located in the middle of the city and has beautiful building that are perfect foto locations. Also there is a little castle on it and to some buildings a little climbing is necessary! Its perfect to relax in the green in the middle of the city.

We ascending on foot, not so hard. During the ascending, we pass through some atractions, Fuente Neptuno and Sepulcro de Benjamin Vicuña Mackenna until arrive at the Castillo Hidalgo. Great view of the city. Be careful with the stones ladders, mainly on the rain, very slippery.

It probably takes about 20 minutes to hike up the hill, unless you take a more scenic route and make stops along the way. Great views of the skyline from the lookout at the top of the hill. The hill is easily accessible via the Santiago subway system.

An oasis in the center of the city. Beautiful views, lovely shady spots, many places to relax, interesting architecture, and a way to overlook Santiago and the Andes!

Surprising architecture for a park right on the street, rising on a hill. With the detour when you are heading for the historical district, by exiting Metro Santa Lucia

We walked up the hill of Santa Lucia from our apartment hotel in Barrio Lastarria on a Saturday morning and loved it. Plenty of locals were walking up the paths. you get a great view of Santiago from the top. There are colonial style building in the middle of a parklike setting with beautiful trees and flowers. Its a relaxing... More

From this mountain you can see the whole city ( if there's no smog which is often). Park is nice and very relaxing despite amount of people there. Green and romantic, totally recommend for visit

The Cerro San Cristobal is located surprisingly central when considering the fact that its is quite high and thus a great lookout to the city of Santiago. As far I say understood does this hill mark the birthplace of the city, for which it is not just a good viewpoint, but also a significant historical venue. I actually preferred this... More
