There are a few stairs to climb followed by an easy walk around the hill mostly in the shade. The majestic building makes for nice photos, as do the views. There is a lift back down to road level if you need one.

It is not a very high hill, but you can enjoy a wonderful view from the belvedere. You should walk all the way up, even if you are not in your best shape!

Beautiful, well-kept grounds. Plaza Neptune is impressive with a fountain and dual staircases. Closest subway station is called, unsurprisingly, Santa Lucia (Line 1).

This was the last thing I did in Santiago and Im so glad I visited it. Amazing views of the city and the hill itself is a great place to sit and take the view in aswell as people watch and admire the surroundings of the hill.

This is a really pleasant park on several levels, with excellent views over the city and mountains from the top. There are lots of places to sit and rest, and a few stalls from which to buy a cold drink or a snack. There is no admission fee so it's a great free place to go to experience Santiago

Enjoy a beautiful view over Santiago in the middle of the center. Lovely park with great history. that goes back to 1542.... At the foot of the hill you can visit a Mapuche market. with original handcraft from Chie´s indigenous people...it´s a must!!

Great strolling across the Alameda from the Santa Lucia Market (also worth a visit!!). Please don't stroll with your passport or backpack-- you will be a target for thieves! And, of course, be aware of your surroundings, and don't leave anything unattended!

It's a good climb but worth the view. Also worth checking the history of this site in guide books.OK?
