Very nice place to visit while in Santiago. Very easy/cheap to get to by the metro. Need at lease a couple hrs just to visit the Chile hand crafts there. By far the best place to by souvenirs.

Many interesting shops with fascinating merchandise, but prices not as low as can be found in many other places in Santiago (e.g. Estacion Central).

Pleasant and beautifully landscaped artisan market with sellers offering a diverse set of craft, arts, clothes, etc. It's a wonderful place for spending a few hours.

The metro is open for travel but I have asked around with the people and Dec 25 they say everything is closed. Open until 6 pm on the 24th.
