This handicraft village is a great place to shop for traditional Chilean arts and crafts and one of the few places you might be able to bargain in Santiago.

This small village of gifted craftsmen and craftswomen may be near the last subway stop, but it is definitely worth the ride. Engaging with the local artists is half the fun. Increase their joy by purchasing one or more unique creation. It certainly makes for...More

First of all, I recommend to visit this place. It is full of nice handicraft shops, which are partly very original. It is easy to reach with the red metro until Station Los Dominicos. However I have been there 7 years ago and in comparison...More

Fantastic little market which suited me on my last day in Chile. Lots of lovely alternative shopping. Delightful.

After being dissapointed at mercado central, we took the metro here, and it dropped us off right in front of this place. At first we were confused, as there was s street arts and crafts fair, very cute, but only in place for a few...More

Excellent spot for trinkets to buy if traveling, or searching for a gift for someone. Most of the merchants here have 100% out-priced themselves for myself as a local. I find most things here are cheap items for the tourist trade. Even for the real...More

So easy to get to. Just catch the metro to Los Dominicos and stroll up the hill. Not open Monday. We went Saturday morning and saw the markets as we walked up the hill. Not at all crowded but increased after 12pm. Good value souvenirs...More

The best quality artisan arts and crafts available in most of Chile. Buy directly from the maker, wonderful selection! Regret I did not buy more there as I did not find the anything nearly as beautiful elsewhere in Chile...especially the baby alpaca woolens.

Yes, it's for tourists. But it's charming. Low key, traditional crafts, food, dancing (saw a troupe of cheerful, young traditional dancers by happenstance while eating empandas!). Had a lovely afternoon here and found some artisans justifiably proud of their work. Notably Artesania Aymara's Pilar Gallo...More

We went here on a very hot day so struggled a bit. But the artworks on display are fantastic and if one had room and the money, a lot of wonderful things xan be purchased.
