Our journey with Axel was a fantastic day! Axel's was passionate about the Andes! The scenery along the way was absolutely breathtaking. We wound through rugged mountain passes and marveled at waterfalls and snow-capped peaks. While there were some bumpy parts over rough terrain, Axel's driving skills ensured that we felt safe and secure throughout the entire journey.
We had a wonderful time at the Chocolate House tasting some of the chocolate ice cream, then we had a relaxing two hours in the hot springs. We capped it all off with some delicious Chilean food and wine under the stars! We even learned about the constellations!
But what truly set this trip apart was Axel himself. Not only was he a skilled guide, but he was also a warm and engaging teaching us about his interests and things that were important to the region.
Overall, our tour with Axel exceeded all expectations.Thank you, Axel, for an unforgettable experience!

I asked our concierge to set up a tour for my teenage son and I into the Andes and what our guide, Francisco, delivered was beyond anything we could have imagined!! Francisco picked us up at our hotel and was punctual. He spoke very good English and knew so much about the area we were visiting. His passion for the Andes and caring for the environment was tangible. The sights we saw were breathtaking, God's fingerprint was everywhere! Francisco allowed my son and I to spend some time together in the different areas exploring while keeping a watchful eye over us and snapping cool shots of us which he shared with us after the tour. We stopped near a thermal pond and waterfall for a delicious Chilean lunch which he cooked for us. Afterwards we visited a rare ice cave in the face of the one of the Andes mountains. There are no words to describe all we saw and did. We HIGHLY recommend a tour with Francisco as it will be a day you will not soon forget! Thank you Francisco!!. We hope to be back with the whole family next time!!

Francisco had been strongly recommended to us , and I am so glad we decided to do the Wine and Wonders tour with him! It turned out to be a spectacular day. Fran picked us up at our hotel very early one morning and off we went in his 4X4 through incredible scenery and climbed high into the mountains. We arrived at a thermal spring , and although the air was quite cool , Fran convinced us to get into the hot springs. The timing was perfect - nobody else was around, snow on the mountain tops could be seen in all directions, and the sun was just coming up for the day! Absolutely magical! We left just as bus loads were arriving, and after another incredible drive, arrived for a wonderful lunch beside a beautiful river. We then toured some wineries and sampled great Chilean wines. Throughout the day, Fran shared with us great insights into Chilean history, culture, politics, food, and various points of interest. We loved every minute and would recommend any of the tours with Fran!

the worst experience of my life,
bad planning with a very unpleasant guide,
the car broke down in the middle of the very rocky Andes mountain.
we spent 5 extra hours doing nothing but fixing the car.
at the end the owner gave us only $50 discount to a very expensive tour,
and wanted to charge me in advance to the next tour planned after all we went through.
not recommended at all.

This is the second time that we went on this tour to the Andes with Francesco. The service he offers is excellent . The last review described him truly well friendly, knowledgeable and a truly free spirit. I agree completely . He together with his team will pick you up from hotel and drive through nice scenery until we arrived at Valle Del Yeso. We did kayaking which was tremendous fun on the lake then headed to the hot springs and while we had a dip in these springs, Fracesco and his team prepared the BBQ. Lots of meat and sausages and salad and beer with the marvelous Andes all around you. As Francesco describes it BEAUTIFUL ! A truly relaxing day full of excitement . Well done

we booked Andes Jeep Tour in Santiago, Chile through Tripadvisor. We booked this tour in advance from San Jose, California and paid for it. The confirmation number for the tour is 1073580276 and the booking reference number is 664126868
We confirmed with Hislanders tour company (Francisco Bruna-PANTERA founder ) listed in the email provided by Viator/Tripadvisor regarding pick up hotel and and time.He responded via email confirming the pick up.
Today on 12/25/2018, we waited by our hotel for pick up and no one showed up or picked us up Our hotel concierge called the number listed. She spoke to Francisco and he said he will look up the reservation and call back. He NEVER CALLED BACK and even SWITCHED OFF THE PHONE. Our hotel concierge kept trying to call.
Our tour did not happen, we paid $424 for 4 adults and we are sitting in hotel room. We woke up at 5AM to be ready on trip for 6AM pick up.
This is poor service. We excitedly waited and wanted to see ANDES in our 1 day lay over. VERY POOR SERVICE. Our day is wasted, bad memory of SANTIAGO< CHILE, and MONEY TOO. HORRIBLE

Treat yourself to an adventure in the mountains just outside of Santiago ASAP! This is the trip to book, don’t be fooled into purchasing the trip from other vendors.
Francisco picked us up at our hotel at 6 am. This ensured we saw the sunrise AND we were alone to explore the mountains. By the time we started our return trip 100s of people were coming up the mountain.
The entire day was so much fun. You will love the feeling of driving over the rough roads and through the rivers! It was so neat being able to soak in hot springs while watching the mountains (FYI...you change in the car.). The tour has ample time to get out of the truck to hike as well. Plus, the lunch was the BEST food I had in South America!
Finally, Francisco ensures you have so many amazing photos to remember the day. Your wish is his command when you see something you would like to photograph or explore.

My friends and I booked the day-long Andes Jeep Tour with Francisco. He picked us up at our hotel in the morning and embarked on our adventure. Francisco is extremely knowledgeable about the area and showed us a great time. We saw the El Yeso reservoir that feeds the city of Santiago, ventured to the icy cave, and capped off with a great home cooked lunch at the hot springs. Francisco took great pictures for us throughout the trip and shared them with us at the end. Highly recommended to any travelers visiting Santiago!

The Hislandes Aventuras has the best Tours in Santiago. I had the chance to take two of them: The Andes Jeep Tour and The Adrenaline Day (Rafting+Paragliding). I highly recommend them both! I texted this company on their facebook page in order to get more information and I wasn't even sure if they would reply me, but for my surprise they texted me back incredible fast. Ps: if you don't speak Spanish, it's not a problem - they speak English and Portuguese as well. The Guides are EXTREMELY nice, they are always willing to help you/make you more comfortable somehow. All you have to do is: relax and enjoy the ride!!!

This trip was awesome! Two friends and I (in our early 20s) spent all day in the mountains with Francisco. He picked us up from where we were staying early in the morning and drove us to a beautiful lake way up in the mountains to go kayaking and hiking. We then drove up to an extremely remote area with beautiful views, where he made fresh guac, salmon, and steak for us. As you can see from the photos, the views are absolutely incredible, and we came home with truly amazing photos that Francisco took during the trip.
The trip is worth every peso, and I would strongly recommend it if you want to experience the natural beauty of the Andes mountains!
