A small and affectionate museum about the very treasured Violeta Parra, a very strong, tender and not enough revered Chilean human rights artist and a vivid voice for the poor and the oppressed, with a perfect mix of works and details that makes the visit...More

A beautiful and informative exposition of Violeta Parra's life. The museum shows some of Violeta's pieces of arts with informative texts, videos and sounds. It's close to the subway. The entry is free.

I'm embarrassed to say that I had never heard of Violeta Parra who is something of a legend in South America. Her life, and works hit all levels of creativity and emotions

This new museum is artfully designed and well appointed. Entrance is free and the location near Plaza Baquedano couldn't be more central. There is a good deal here about the life and work of Violeta Parra, the famous Chilean folkloric researcher, singer, songwriter, painter, weaver,...More

There are not many examples of museums in Chile fully dedicated for one personality. This is the case in Violeta Parra´s Museum, where every little object is related with the life and passion of the Chilean creator.
