This plaza is the key location of the city, enough space for people to gather here. The buildings and monuments around are very nice and well-kept, some of the best in the city.

A decent place for a coffee or to meet up with friends etc but also a bit scruffy around the edges - kind of like Valparaiso overall. Perhaps not the best place at night unless you're partying in the bars.

This busy plaza was the prefect spot to meet our tour guide for the city. It was easy to find, clean, and safe.

After exploring some of the neighborhoods in Valparaiso one morning, my wife and I spent some time in the Plaza Sotomayor. The name of the square immediately drew my attention and made me think of one of the Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court, Justice...More

It is the place where the free walking tours meet. There are flea market booths with food and antiques there on weekends.
