Nice pedestrian street in uphill Valparaiso
Jan. 2020
This is a very atmospheric little street near ascensor Concepcion. Like most places in uphill Valparaiso, there is lot of street art. Here the houses are also painted in bright colours, in contrast with El plan, the flat part of the city. But here there are also many restaurants and a few shops, catering to tourists. Go walk a bit further to see less touristic Valparaiso and more great street art, which is really nearly everywhere uphill.

Extremely Artistic and Talented Artwork
Jan. 2020 • Family
One can appreciate extremely artistic and talented artwork on the sides of the streets, walkways, stairs and buildings all the way. The best way to explore this artwork in Cerro Concepcion is by walking. Certainly would very highly recommend the same to any tourist in Valparaíso.

one of the cities narrower streets
Jan. 2020
Only a pedestrian mall with mix of retail shops, cafes and ice-creameries. Nicely decorated above and painted walls. Stairs are involved at both ends. Easy to access if able bodied.

It's not grafitti. It's art!
Dec. 2019
The 750 meter stroll along Paseo Gervasoni was the highlight of our time in Valparaiso. In fact, if you have time for nothing else, this is the one activity you should do. Just about every building wall is covered with a painting. The Chileans call it grafitti but this is not black lettering and statements. This is pure art. I took photos all along the route.

Talented street art
Nov. 2019 • Couples
The street art was on almost every building whether public or private. Each artwork covered a subtle theme. I was amazed at how talented the artists are. You can find this on most streets in the historical section. If unsuee, start at La Sebastiana and wind downhill towards the shore.

This is a nice little walk where you can see and appreciate some of Valparaiso's street art. (But watch where you step...)

Incredible
Jan. 2019
truely great works of art, most of the pieces. Some of the street art around the area is pure graffiti, rude, insulting etc but most of the works are beautiful.

All Amazing!
Jul. 2019
This is why you visit and appreciate art in Valparaiso. But understand the history behind each piece if you can. Do take advantage of the free city tour which is offered everyday in the morning and afternoon. The guide will help explain and take you to the right locations to appreciate the street art. It's all amazing and worth the visit.

Awesome street art!
Sep. 2018 • Solo
I loved the street art in this area, it's a must-see! Definitely bring your camera, and try to visit with a tour so that they can tell you the stories that go with the art - these stories are fascinating and a great way to learn about Chilean history.
