Although the paintings are interesting, it is really the extraordinary building and its original period details all executed to the finest quality, especially in the carving, stucco work and arresting choice of colours. which make it well worth the visit.

This is a small museum located in a very nice house on top of the port with some very nice works of art. The price is also very affordable. However notice the main plus is the house and the view and not the art so...More

Very impressive quality and quantity of art. I love art museums, and I didn't have high expectations but didn't want to pass it by. I thoroughly enjoyed the art, the restoration of the home and the views. The original owner had a good eye for...More

Truth is that I’m not a painting specialist, so I will not speak about the paintings that there are in the museum. The reason of my visit it’s the building itself. Don’t miss it if you visit the city. It’s located on the hill with...More

It is a palace and also Valparaiso's museum of Fine Arts which is sooo interesting. You get to know about the history of this place, how it was donated to the Municipality and the pieces of art there are great.

In a very picturesque setting this art nouveau/deco palazzo is well worth a visit. The rooms retain most of the original fittings - wood panelling, chandeliers, floors etc and the art collection is an interesting selection of mainly 19th and 20thC local artistsì works.

It’s 2,000 to enter, 4,000 if you’re a foreigner. Worth it just to see Valparaíso in art a few hundred years ago. Allow 45 minutes, possibly more. All descriptives in Spanish apart from the flyer you’re given on entry.

don't remember the fee but museums in Chile are inexpensive. All museums are closed on Mondays.
