We are not church people, but we visited a number of churches, and this one was very beautiful when the sun was shining outside.

This church has a beautiful interior, with lots of art, and gold overlay. Definitely worth a visit in the Old Town. No photos allowed.

Beautiful inside ! Grand cathedral! Take the tower stairs and see the view from the top. We enjoyed it very much.

This colonial-era (16th century) church dominates the plaza. The Iglesia La Cm[ania. nearby, is famous for having 7 tons of gold in it and for being over-the-top ornate, but the Iglesia San Francisco can't be far behind. We were lucky enough to be in the...More

When you walk in the stone arched gate you see in front of you on the wall some large 16 C religious paintings - some have wooden doors so they can be closed off for preservation. Going through the stone entrance you enter a cloistered...More

The most impressive part of this church is the sheer volume of all the artwork -- paintings, sculptures, ornate architecture, and murals covering every last surface of the interior. They requested that I not take any photography so I respected their wishes. It's also very...More

Typical baroque style Catholic Church. Well worth a visit. The lavish interior contrasts the more simple external architecture.

The church is beautiful and worth walking through if you are nearby. It’s not as ornate inside as La Compania but still beautiful. The highlight was the shop that is down underneath the church. A great shopping place!!
