Enjoyable to walk around and absorb the Quito old town atmosphere. Several churches, the presidential palace, shops (we bought Panama Hats) as well as a lively plaza make this a spot to be sure you visit. Many great photo opportunities.

Very instructive tour of the Quito Old Town with our guide Daniel from Latin Adventures. He shared with us the history of that amazing town. We had lunch in a typical Andean restaurant.

It's worth walking and checking this part of Quito out. Lots of history and color and characters. If you go during New Year, men in drag will ask you for money. Just put a few coins in their purses. It's a cultural thing. Don't judge.

Typical Colonial architecture and vibrant businesses. Busy during the day but not at night. A local I was with seemed to be concerned not to be there after about 6 PM.

We went on an organized tour, but you really don't have to in order to see the sights. The churches were magnificent. The street vendors were courteous and interesting and lots of good food was available. It seemed very safe in the streets.

Wonderful architecture, lots of old and new. Lots of ambiance and history amid the honking traffic and vendors non-stop hawking their wares.

Beautiful, historic area with several churches, museums, restaurants and cafes. Have a meal at one of the restaurants within the main plaza.
