We arrived anticipating getting a great view of the city from the towers but were not able to enter...closed. However the building exterior is fascinating and spent a good 30 mins looking around and being pestered by pedlers. No way can one miss this stunning...More

Absolutely beautiful. I went in the early morning to avoid the crowds and get some good pictures. So much to see in this historic area. I ventured off the beaten path and saw some more of the architecture and colors of this incredible city.

It was breath taking in its beauty; clear French influence. Lovely church. You felt as if you could just sit there and be at peace.

The beauty of this basilica and its carvings and stained glass windows is not to be missed. I visited on a Sunday morning while mass was in session. A beautiful experience

this cathedral is stunning and very large. It is an important site to visit while in Quito for sure. Be sure to check out the really cool gargoyles that have a South American twist!

This church is free to visit. Easier if during the day during Saturday evening or Sunday during and between mass services. Interior does not have the barroque splendor of the older Compania or San Francisco Churches, but instead it has the greatness of gothic architecture....More

I have been to Basilica many times and it is so worth it. Especially walking all the way up to the towers. It is scary but so pretty view of the church and old town.
