Great ride up the hillside of Quito with terrific views when the mist cleared. Go early if you can as there is a better chance of clear skies. Nice walking from the top but tough at the high altitude.

Quito, officially San Francisco de Quito, is the political capital of the Republic of Ecuador, the oldest in the Province of Pichincha If you want to know from the heights the little face of God, one of the ideal places is the cable car. This place offers a wonderful view of almost the entire capital of Ecuador. If you come... More

Only 1 piece of advice. Make sure to go in the morning! The weather did not particpate with us when we were there, but we still would recommend the trip. The cable car moves up and down slowly so that you have a lot of time to view the sights.

Amazing experience. Be prepared to bring hiking shoes and warm clothing as it gets chilly up there! Even worth bringing a snack and good pair of lungs - you're in for a wonderful hiking experience !! Really such a gem.

Built by a French famous company, this will take you to the top of the mountain, a short walking distance from the volcano which covered Quito with ashes a few tens years ago! When up there dont try to run, start by walking, or better, start with resting for a few minutes, and let your heart and breathing adpat to... More

Quito is a sprawling city, a fact that can be fully appreciated from this site. The gondola ride is easy and offers excellent views of the changing topography and views of the city below. Once you reach the top you can appreciate the impact of the altitude. Views will vary by the weather ... but, one should expect to feel... More

We went early morning, nice and quite to take in the views, got very busy as we got the car down. Responsible price. Shame the church was locked.

This can take you up to the heavens. Actually you can reach 4.000 meters above sea level at the top and take a walk for a couple hours near one of the volcanos (guagua pichincha) that guard the city, amazing views and nature filled excitement coupled with city attractions and even a fun activity park with different rides at it´s... The teleferico is best on a sunny day, when you can see the entire city of Quito. The ride up is smooth and beautiful and the views from the top are spectacular. Once you reach the top there are a ton of options of things to do. You can hike higher up the mountain, take pictures with llamas, pay for... More
