Short taxi ride to the base, short wait, hoop aboard a six person Gondola to the top. Views of the city are spectacular...but even better are the views of the volcano that you will never see from the city below. As long as it is...More

Cost per person is $8.50, and they take credit cards. The earlier you get there, the shorter the lines will be. Cable cars have bike racks on them, in case you want to bring your mountain bike, and ride their path down. Once at the...More

This is avery nice experience, and you will go up 1000 meters. Problem is that it gets cloudy or foggy, and then you see nothing. Must go first thing to enjoy 100 % the experience

The teleferico was great and a must whilst in Quito. Fantastic views of the city and surrounding mountains, particularly when you hike up a bit further. Well worth the $8 entry fee!

I usually just take a taxi. From the old town it should be about a 15-20 minute ride depending on the traffic. If you dont pay the driver to wait for you, you might have to wait awhile for someone to bring you back down.

It's just a good view. There is a mini cafe but not worth eating there. There is a chapel. Not much else.
