No need for a tour - it's an easy 3 day 2 night trip down, around and back up. If you head off early you can enjoy the hot springs and the pools without being on the tourist track.
Apart from seeing the condors at Cruz del Condor , the scenery of the Colca Canyon (at 3400m the second deepest canyon in the world) is absolutely magnificent . To see an erupting volcano was another incredible sight. Certainly worth a visit
