Nice feel to the area. Nice spot to see with limited time. Not much you can say other than this as it is a square in the middle of the city

This is the main square in Arequipa, with the main cathedral bordering one whole side of the square. The other three sides are colonial style buildings with verandas with many local restaurants and shops. If visiting, you definitely should not miss the square.

We spent a year in Arequipa before moving to the north coast. From our travels around the country, I can say that this is one of the most beautiful Plazas in Peru. But I have to say we rarely ate at any of the restaurants...More

This main square is beautiful at day or night. The look of the cathedral and surrounding arches is pretty nice, especially at night.

we had planned to visit the city center of Arequipa only for 2 days with our little girl of 16 months of life. We saw that the park was less clean than we had thought to see because of the many doves

Great place to sit a moment in, although you'll have to be eagle-eyed to get a spot in the shade and be willing to get very friendly with up to three others in the bench. It's bound by colonial architecture and the cathedral, with lots...More

Very typical of Peruvian plazas, though others are cleaner. A regular gather place for locals and visitors alike. Nice military flag raising this morning.

So many pigeons, and people are constantly blasting firecrackers to scare them into flight. On top of that it's crowded and hawkers are always bothering you.
