its about a 20 minute drive from Arequipa but its totally worth it.. this observatory tower its located in a quite neighborhood. they charge ! sol per person. the tower is about 5 stories high, so be prepared. when you get to the top you will forget your tired and out of air. the view is incredible...an awesome 360 degree view of the city and its surrounding mountains. after your done if your hungry ask for the restaurant "LA LUCILA" its a local popular dining place. its not far from here. and ask for a plate called "THE AMERICAN" BEST THING EVER IT HAS 5 DIFFERENT TYPES OF FOOD FOR YOU TO TRY..ITS A MUST...

Yes that title is in all caps, because Sachaca truly had the BEST views of the city!!! A taxi ride here from the Plaza de Armas is about 7 soles, and trust me it's worth it. And there's a 1 sol entrance fee, but no problema! The views from the middle of the tower, and the top, were amazing!!! You get a 360 panorama of Arequipa and the mountains and volcanos that surround it. I could have stayed for hours admiring the views. We were there around 9:30am, and there were maybe 6 other people there during our visit. The lighting was perfect for pictures.
I think this is often one of the looked over places in Arequipa, since it's off the beaten path, and a ways from the centre of town, but it's totally worth it. There's also a store right out front that sells queso helado, which will make the experience 100% better, trust me :) Once you're finished at the Mirador, walk the few blocks to the church/plaza and catch a taxi from there. Back to the Plaza de Armas will be 7 soles.

This is a good spot to have a 360° view from Arequipa and the volcanoes around, to get here you will need to take a taxi. It's a nice place to take pics.

Un buen lugar para mirar la campiña arequipa , tomara maximo 40 minutos. Y para disfrutar de queso helado. Un tipico helado de la ciudad de Arequipa. A good place to see a wonderful landscape of Arequipa. It takes around forty minutes. And buy an icecream called queso helado . A tipical icecream of Arequipa city.
