This hike is not easy and since you are only (most likely) going to climb it once during your trip so you want to find a reliable company with experienced tour guides. We walked around the city and went to the top TripAdvisor rated agencies,...More

It was sunny when I started my hike and was snowing quite well when I hit the top. Regardless of the weather, it was a fantastic and challenging hike. I got to see the colors of the mountain but not like the photos you see....More

The mixture of nature and culture was the best here. We left quite early, 4am, but it was understandable, to avoid other tourists - there were in general not too many up there and our group consisted of 6 travelers - and to enjoy more...More

Had an amazing day with the Exploorperu team on our trip to the Rainbow Mountain tour. Took about 2.5 hours for the hike portion. The early departure means you have the entire area to yourself. Due to the altitude I had to take it slow...More

We were picked up at 3.00 am. We went to the Rainbow Mountain and it was so beautiful and the weather was so good. The altitude is 5100 meters above sea level. I think it was a though but a nice hike.

This is a tough tour. Starts around 330 A.M. two hours in a bus on winding roads. Breakfast is offered but not a great meal. The trek is one that will likely break you. Even on horse back it’s difficult. The saddles are not fitted...More

The hike is tough, but the view from the top makes every step worth it. For even more stunning views, I’d highly recommend the short trek to the Red Valley afterwards.
