Enjoy the beautiful Andean landscape of Peru on board of a luxury and magical way to travel between Cusco and the Lake Titicaca. Travelling in the Andean Explorer is a unique experience, a route between mountains, clouds, snow-capped mountains and puna finishing in the majestic Lake Titicaca. Its coaches involve you in an environment extremely decorated with the elegant style of Pullman trains of the decade of 1920. Its tourist shows, the 5-fork lunch, dining cars, observatory-bar car outdoors, among other attractions.

For us, this train ride was a luxurious, fun experience. We were not looking forward to a 10 1/2 hour ride from Cusco to Puno, but the time flew. We had a welcome aboard cocktail, a dance/music ensemble from Cuzco, a gourmet lunch of local foods, a Pisco sour demonstration, another ensemble from Puno, a short stop at La Raya,... More

Taking the train from Puno (Lake Titicaca) to Cusco was fantastic. !0 hours flew by. There is so much to see. Riding through the Andes thru small villages, small farms, in the middle of a village market, etc was fantastic. There is an open air car where you can hang out meet lots of fellow travelers, or a beautiful bar... More

Fantastic experience! Great customer service and attention to details. Long but exciting and interesting journey, extremely comfortable seats and fantastic viewing carriage. Great and attentive staff, especially the supervisor Arnaldo Ponce De La Cruz. We are on our honeymoon and he went out of his way to make it extra special. Highly recommended, definitely worth the price!

Maybe not for the budget traveller, this train trip is good value. The service was excellent, the train very comfortable, the food interesting and tasty, the entertainment fun and the scenery stunning and dramatic. Do this trip if you can. We enjoyed all aspects of the experience and would do it again.

I cannot rate this experience highly enough. It is so much more than a way to get from A to B. The food provided is delicious (food and drink not provided is expensive but delicious as well). The staff are very attentive and so friendly. I went from Puno to Cuzco and the 10 hours flew by with amazing scenery... More

Wonderful scenery, good food and great staff - this is easiest the best train ride. We went from Puno to Cusco, and took amazing pictures along the way.

We travelled from Cusco to Puno with our teenagers and all loved the trip. The food and bar service was wonderful and staff were very attentive. Little chance of boredom with live music, fashion parade and a mid-trip stop. The trip flew by for us. Very much enjoyed by all!

It's much more expensive than the equivalent bus from Cusco to Puno in Peru but worth every sole! It takes 10.5 hours but the scenery through the Andes is spectacular and the service on board is magnificent ! From the moment you arrive at the station in Cusco, they take care of you -in a stylish waiting room. On the... More

My journey started in Puno and because there are already some very detailed reviews here, I would like to share my experience with you. I travelled as a single girl and was very well looked after by Señor Arnaldo, who is the Service Manager on board. The Andean Explorer is the train that runs from Cusco to Puno, on Lake Titicaca. It is a ten hour journey, considerably more expensive and longer than going by bus or taking a flight, but I consider it was worth every penny. Everyone sits at tables of 1, 2 or 4, on seats that are like armchairs and very comfortable.... More
