Enjoy the beautiful Andean landscape of Peru on board of a luxury and magical way to travel between Cusco and the Lake Titicaca. Travelling in the Andean Explorer is a unique experience, a route between mountains, clouds, snow-capped mountains and puna finishing in the majestic Lake Titicaca. Its coaches involve you in an environment extremely decorated with the elegant style of Pullman trains of the decade of 1920. Its tourist shows, the 5-fork lunch, dining cars, observatory-bar car outdoors, among other attractions.

We loved our day on the Andean Explorer. It's a first class way to travel across the country side. Even in the waiting room/lounge - waiters in white jackets offer coffee or tea, and then escort you to your seats on the train. The service was great all day long. There is live music and dancing, as well as other... More

A fantastic train ride that takes a gentle climb to higher and cooler altitudes. The first half of the journey is dominated by the magnificent Andean Mountains which tower over the deep valleys of the meandering Huatanay River. It then reaches the gentler, rolling Andean Plains, where vicuna and alpaca can be seen. The glass-walled observation car provides the perfect... More

We chose this option to travel from Cusco to Puno as we thought it would be a perfect way to see some of Peru whilst enjoying a little luxury. The price tag is large but it was a wonderful experience which was worth the money. You are met at the station and offered a hot drink in the waiting room,... More

The train takes a scenic, slow route through high plains and mountain valleys, passing through lovely scenery and farms and real local village life. At the back of the train is a superb viewing car, part lounge and part wrap-around windows, with an open section on the very end for great photo-ops. This is a good spot to meet fellow... More

You could catch the bus from puno to Cusco, but you'd be missing a brilliant experience. The train inside is beautiful with wood and brass, the seats are large and comfy. White table cloths, excellent service and great food. The washroom is clean and tidy. There is a comfortable lounge area and at the back of this is the viewing... More
