Enjoy the beautiful Andean landscape of Peru on board of a luxury and magical way to travel between Cusco and the Lake Titicaca. Travelling in the Andean Explorer is a unique experience, a route between mountains, clouds, snow-capped mountains and puna finishing in the majestic Lake Titicaca. Its coaches involve you in an environment extremely decorated with the elegant style of Pullman trains of the decade of 1920. Its tourist shows, the 5-fork lunch, dining cars, observatory-bar car outdoors, among other attractions.

The train service was excellent and the timings were good. The only issue was the leg space between the seats. I am average height person and legs were hurting after this 3:30 minute trip

I travelled from Cuzco to Puno by Andean Explorer managed by Peru Rail. The train had a similar feel to the Orient Express with well trained staff looking after the passengers. I had a table to myself and a very comfortable armchair to relax on. Well presented, tasty Peruvian food was served a few times during the journey, accompanied by... More

We travelled from Cusco to Puno...from beginning to end this train journey was world class...it offered first class views, gorgeous food, great comfort staff were lovely. Good value for money, there is no other way to travel between these two places. You won't be disappointed!

PeruRail is one of two options to travel to Machu Picchu. It is a 3hr ride and a roundtrip ticket cost as much as my one way plane fare from Lima to Cusco. They say that you must be there 30 mins in advance and there is absolutely no reason for this. The station was packed, we stood around simply... More

We rode in First Class to Machu Pichu, and Coach Class back to Poroy (Cusco). It was the same, 3.5 hours, a bit cramped. But the ride back to Poroy was fun. After the meal service which was good enough served with standard free beverages, the real drinks arrived. We were the first to order custom made Pisco, and the... More

This is pretty much your only option, so it'll do. It's a nice ride; a bit expensive, but efficient. All-in-all a nice train ride to MP.

Train Facilities were not bad at all, train tickets are in English and are easy to understand. It is easy to see that train company is ran by private Firm as they seem to be well prepared.
