I highly recommend this cosy hotel, good value for the money. Clean, comfortable, quiet hotel in Wanchaq area, not far from the historical centre (the famous plazas). Friendly and helpful staff. Safe neighbourhood. Good laundry service. Good breakfast with among others fresh fruit and fresh juices. Good internet connection, also in the room. Bathroom with good shower, always with hot... The central historic district is a wonderful spot to visit and help you locate yourself in Cusco. Many free walking tours go through here. There is also the best restaurant in Cusco, Barrios Cerviche, located off the square.

Look I was probably a bit tired by the time I got here and had enough. It was nice and you need a guide if you want to understand the histroy

Due to constant hawkers selling stuff I prefer San Blas a little above. But you will be there and a must see in Cusco.

The centro historico has everything. It is surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, shops and museums. Some coffee shops have great view (and wifi) such as Starbucks. I found some really nice restaurants too. The Greens for example is full organic, perfect for vegetarians but not only• meat lovers will appreciate it too. There are plenty of well known shops to... The buildings set around the main square of Cusco are interesting and some very colourful. The old centre is lively and never quiet as the sound of the police whistles directing traffic is constant. In the centre are lots of seats to sit and enjoy the varied architecture surrounding the square.

We went around the historic centre of Cusco with a guide from Gap Adventures as we were doing the trip to Machu Picchu the next day. It is small but quaint with lots of Inca history.

Absolutely stunning city! Cobblestone streets, narrow alleys that go up the mountain, massive churches, very friendly people, unforgettable!!!

Situated in the city center square. This is a imposing and beautiful building. There are many other buildings to walk around and view in this location. You can easily waste an afternoon just wandering. Apart from always being hassled by vendors I always felt safe here day and night.
