My four-day, three-night hike along the southern pass of the Inka Trail (Vales) was absolutely incredible. I felt a sense of accomplishment and adventure unlike anything I've done before, and the Inkan sites were breath-taking. I could not think of a more engaging way to learn about the history of the country and its people, and I was impressed with... More

We did the classic trail with Alpaca Expeditions guiding us. Well worth doing it properly with a legit guide. Amazing experience, fantastic views, the journey really is the destination!

We did the 4D / 3N Inca Trail hike and throughout the hike we encountered numerous Incan site (Llactapata, Runkurakay, Sayaqmarka, Llulluchapampa, Phuyupatamarka, Intipata, Winay Wayna, and of course ended with Machu Picchu) and passed through several different climate zones. We are all very active but will readily admit that Day 2 was very difficult, with 4 hours of hiking... More

We hiked the trail only in the last part of it, the one that brings you to the Sun Gate, but well worth it. Can't imagine how wonderful it could be walking it all the way from Cusco. Even if only for few miles, do not miss this trail when in the area.

This is a must if you are travelling to Peru. We did the four day three night classic Inca Trail trek and would thoroughly recommend. We are not seasoned trekkers, we don't hike at all at home- we found this trek challenging at times but manageable. An incredible array of scenery, a highlight of our trip.

My wife and I did the 4 day 3 Night trek and it was an experience of a life-time. You will see many Inca ruins and hike through a very diverse ecosystem. It's not easy, but so worth it! Our guide was Ruben Quispe Quispe and he did an excellent job. I highly recommend using an indigenous owned and operated... More

We walked up the trail that starts at the bottom of Aguas Calientes. It takes 90 minutes to 2 hours. Make sure to prepare yourself because there is much more walking to do when you reach the top.

This was a truly great experience. We were with an excellent guide and blessed with a wonderful group of co-travelers. A word to the wise do not under estimate the second day.

We hiked the four day Inca Trail in December 2016. While challenging, the hike was definitely achievable. It's not a race and we never felt rushed. Just take it slow and steady and you will be just fine :) The scenery along the way is just incredible: snow capped mountains, misty valleys and Inca ruins. The scenery on the third... More

I guess I don;t need to write much. We took the two day short hiking trip (instead classic 4 day). It's a up and down 14 Km trail, more ups than downs. The mountain scenary and ruins were touchingly beautiful. When we reached Sun Gate and saw the Machupicchu city from afar, you understood that this was indeed a sacred... More
