If you go to Cusco you will not miss the Plaza de Armes. Most people, I would guess have their favorite urban spaces but this surprised me by somehow seeming despite its size and it is surrounded by some wonderful architecture. You have to ignore the souvenir hawkers and you get used to the incessant whistles of the traffic police... More

The Plaza de Armas is basically the center of the action in Cusco. There are many restaurants, shops, and cafes either on or very near the Plaza de Armas. On a number of occasions, we saw free, open-air, entertainment events there. Also, if you are looking to book tours to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, or anywhere around Cusco or... More

We arrived in the middle of the week and we headed straight to Plaza de Armas to soak up the culture and see what the town had to offer immediately we were greeted with music, cafes, local families, and plenty restaurants to whet our appetite. There is always something going on here from local pan pipe players to kids practicing... More

It is a big, nice square, with nice views around. Lot's of Tour Companies, restaurants and shops in the vicinity. Quite a busy place.

Cusco plaza or city square has its own vibe! Apt for an historically important town. The Cathedrals are beautiful! Night view is great! Some good shopping and great cafes around!

Great place to sit and relax after walking up and down the steep streets. There are often musicians adding to the charm.

I was just here and I felt very at home. The square is full of people and children. There are 2 churches on the square. I was lucky enough to visit one of the churches during Easter service, I have never heard a more beautiful chior. The church was lit beautifully as well. On the square there are benches to just... Very nice place! Full of history. The arquitecture is awesome. You can admire the contradiction between Inka religion and the influence of Catholicism in Cusco people.

After an exhausting day in the greatness of Machu Pichu, my family and I decided to spend the following day in the Plaza de Armas. There are many restaurants with all kinds of food to eat. You can find from Peruvian food to pizza. Shopping is a must when visiting Cusco. You can have fun negotiating with the vendors. They... More

Definitely one of the nicer squares in South America, there are great restaurants around (shame there's McDonald's and kfc but we are living in 2017). The architecture is beautiful and the vibe is great. Really nicely lit on a night! But remember to wrap up it gets cold at 3400 m.a.s.l!
