Maybe we went on an off day, but the entire place was so depressing. Tiny little stalls selling exactly the same souvenir items fill this shelter like plaza. Each and every stall manned by owners or employees in various stages of sleep. You feel like you should just buy something because that might be the only joy they'll encounter that... More

I love to buy souvenirs so this was the perfect place! We stayed at the Eco Inn (great hotel!) directly across the street. Important tip to note before you get caught up shopping here in all the stalls -- many of the vendors do not take credit card. You will need cash and pay in soles to get the best... More

It was a fun place to go for inexpensive gifts. It is all the same things you see all over town but the variety was nice. Please don't believe them that everything is handmade and baby alpaca. We were told they open at 7 am but we went around 9 and several weren't open yet.

I found this market easily. Visiting on a Sunday it was quieter and the sellers more eager for a sale. I were very happy with the prices we paid and the quality of the items we bought. I ate in the food area and the food was delicious and the service very good. I used the bathroom which cost 1... More

More of the same stuff that you see everywhere. Mostly touristy souvenirs and alpaca and wool everything. Just lots more of it.

Disclaimer: I didn't go to San Pedro market but I really liked what I saw here in Centro Artesanal. You'll see it at the end of Avenida del Sol, after walking about 4 blocks. And it's near local restaurants too (like Gustos y Sabores in Ave. Tullumayu or restos specializing in Chifa). They have the cheapest prices and their stock... More

we visited this collection of stores looking for little gifts to take home. We got an assortment for nice little coca leaf earrings to sets of sacred cows to keep our friends house safe. We saw the same kind of textiles that we saw in many tourist spots, machine made mostly.

I have no idea why San Pedro market is so popular when this better market is so close in distance. It's much quieter here and the deals you can get are significantly greater than ANYTHING you can get at San Pedro. I'd highly recommend trying this place out. Worst case scenario, you have a nice 15 minute walk from San... More

Had lunch two days at this location good food clean environment and plenty choices to choose local stuff or good place to pass two hours shopping . No one hassling you to buy something washroom area clean. Some of the shop keepers speak English but you will get along with them good by pointing and how much "SOLS" .

We were so glad we found this place. Packed with all Peruvian goodies as great prices. We bought traditional, handmade tablecloth, hat, bracelets, toy llamas and earrings. All the Peruvian ladies are working so hard and all have their children with them. So beautiful to see!
