Thank you to James, our wonderful guide, and to Orlando from Orlando Explorer for arranging a fantastic trip for all of us. We had a great time. It is a rustic and tough journey but worth every moment. The Amazon and Pacaya Samiria are very beautiful and special : )

After being referred to Orlando by a friend of a friend, I was expecting a pretty decent tour. I was not disappointed. Orlando wants to know what it is you want to do, and does his best to facilitate you. I went on a four day trip up the river, leaving Nauta which is just over an hour drive from... More

First I'd like to share some general tips about a jungle tour: 1️⃣its not a zoo. animals will try to avoid meeting you so don't expect much. 2️⃣visiting during a rainy season (like we did) has its peculiarities: forests are flooded so almost no place to hike; snakes are more dangerous because they become more aggressive; harder to spot alligators... My son and I had visited Peru before. But this was our first trip to the rainforest.Orlando impressed me with his candid replies to all of our questions. Not trying to win us over with exaggerated promises. Our guide Agusto picked us up with a driver for the first part of our trip.To Nauta by car.I was really glad that my son... More

My most recent trip with Jungle Explorer Orlando's Expeditions was not the first time I've traveled with this company. I've returned three times (2006, 2011, and 2014). And each time I was impressed with their level of expertize and knowledge of remote and pristine areas of the Amazon as well as the city of Iquitos. These areas would not be... More

My guide is Mr. Edgar who is professional. He knows jungle well, and can quickly find creatures we never seen before and help us avoid some danger such as killing bees or ants. Thanks very much for his take care, we had fun in the jungle. Lodge is predictable with simple decoration, limited power time, yellow restroom water from river,... More

Going to the Amazons was a forgotten childhood dream of mine, and I had a great first experience with Jungle Explorer. I took a 3D2N tour to the Pacaya Samiria Reserve. It was a little pricey (375USD total) but I traveled alone and also arrived without notice. I'd assume that the trips would be more cost effective with a group... More

I was recommended this company by several travellers as they are one of very few companies that have access to the pacaya samiria park which has no hunting so more animals! We were met by our guide Davis who Speaks very good English and proved to be an amazing guide- his ability to spot wildlife and his knowledge of local... More
