This is a perfect use of an old railway station. There is a place in the middle for people to come study. It is kept beautifully clean and the roof is worth coming to see alone. Pop your head in for a 5 min look as you wander around the old town.

A few blocks north of Plaza Mayor is a lovely former train station. Walk down Carabaya or Lampa to view some charming old buildings. The interior of Estacion de Desamparados contains an atrium with a stunning stained glass ceiling and grillwork. It now houses a library in honor of Garcia Lorca. Free.

Turning an old train station into a literary space was a brilliant idea. And still pass trains there in their backs. There is a good explanation of literature there, and of course there is a highlight to the most famous one. All in a beautiful old building!
