Neighbourhood: Cercado de Lima
Cercado de Lima, the historic center of Lima, is an architectural treasure trove. Its monumental buildings recall the grandeur of the Spanish colonial era, with the Lima Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace providing stunning examples of this period's architectural prowess. The district is also home to the lively Mercado Central, where a myriad of stalls offer fresh produce, traditional Peruvian goods, and tempting street food. For those seeking cultural immersion, the Museo del Banco Central de Reserva boasts a remarkable collection of pre-Columbian artifacts and Peruvian art. Conveniently, Metropolitano bus services provide easy access to the district, making it a breeze to explore this captivating, historic neighborhood.

Nice destination, especially for families with children, admission 5 sols per adult. In the evenings there will be the same water show with music at 7:15, 8:15 and 9:15 p.m. There are also many food stalls and children's entertainments such as trampoline (but all cost extra).

Don't miss out on experiencing this spectacular water fountain in Lima. The best time to visit is at night from around 7 pm for a better experience. It will cost you 5 soles/PEN and trust me it is worth it. We had a beautiful experience here and would recommend to anyone visiting Lima.

Book online on the park website to beat the queues!
We wanted to head here one evening during our stay in Lima but when I looked it up the tours are charging ridiculous amounts as it’s really easy to do yourself.
We booked an Uber from our hotel (and used uber back) this was only 19sol/PEN each way from San isidro (£4 and we needed an xl as 5 of us) then I booked the tickets online on the park website earlier that evening at 5sol pp (around £1 <5s are free) so a total of £13 for 5 of us for an evenings entertainment!
When we got to the gates I asked an employee which queue we should go in as I had a qr code and she showed me straight to a lady with a scanner and we walked right in.
This was between Xmas and New year during the Peruvian school holidays so it was very busy and the park had Christmas decorations all lit up too.
We enjoyed the walk round all the fountains and watching the light show (best viewed from lhs of the long fountain as you walk in from the entrance). It’s on three times an evening just after 7, 8 and 9pm (exact times on website).
We didn’t eat here as we’d had an early dinner elsewhere: usual selection of overpriced snack and toy vendors you get at these places.

Open skiing tour in the Reservation Park. It is necessary to buy a ticket for the presentations that start from 7 pm and last approximately 40 minutes. A projection is made in the water source telling the history of Peru, very interesting!

The place is very nice, the fountains super imposing and are an ideal spot for photos. The light show is very cute and a quick history of Peru.
If there are many people, particularly on weekends, many people go but if it comes to knowing ironic places in the city, this is one of them.

We saw this water/light/music spectacle with a brilliant guide called Mabel. She talked us through and explained the imagery we were going to see later in the main show as she led us around the park. All of the individual displays were good in themselves and she took lots of pictures for us but the highlight is the main show. It’s done 3 times a night and lasts 15 minutes. The history of Peru is back- projected onto huge fans of water with spectacular images, colours and music.
Fantastic value for money!

Beautiful fountains. Very nice place for kids. Have regular extra activities for kids. Day and night views both should be viewed. Best is to visit or enter at around 1700 so that you can enjoy both day and night views. Very friendly staff and has a small entry fee.

It is a really nice place and very well maintained. I recommend that, in addition to watching the sources, they stay to watch the show, which at least when we went they did at 19:15, 20:15 and 21:10. It lasts about 15 minutes and is very nice!
We bought tickets online, it was very simple and that helped us save the line.

The food restaurants shown on Google Maps are outside the park. There were quite a lot of food sellers inside too. Finding the end of the queue to enter took a bit of effort. It was fast moving. We didn’t go through the tunnel to the extra fountains as they were charging more money for something. The main display was very well executed. Lots of locals around on a Friday night.

Nice, clean place full of vegetation. Affordable prices, the only thing I don't like is the number of vendors there, but they are people who sell politely.
We liked the train ride and the little fields. My son and I had a great time.

Where in the park are the special shows? What time should we arrive at the park to see the 7:15pm show? Any tips we need to make the most of our visit today?

Tiene costo?
Written September 5, 2020
Hola Mauricio !!

O parque fica a 50 metros. O transito de Lima é caótico.

Nao!
