Wow - this site is massive. You'll drive around this site, stop at specific stops where the stone palaces and temples are, read the informative placards, then walk around but you cannot enter anything or get too close. It was settled by several cultures starting...More

Well worth the trip from Lima. Extensive grounds with very good interpretive posters at each site. Great views from the top of the Temple of the Sun, including an ocean view. Allow at least 2 hours if you are walking the grounds. An alternative is...More

If one has the time (and some Spanish), I recommend making the trip to Pachacamac part of the adventure. Having been given excellent directions by the Swissotel concierge, I scrambled into a "collectivo", paid my 1.5 Soles fare and bounced through the traffic until we...More

The ruins at Pachacamac, its history, and its location overlooking the ocean were most impressive. Although we booked with another company (a long story) we ended up going to this site with Lima Vision. As has been said elsewhere their tour would have benefitted with...More

Went to the Pachacamac ruins today and really enjoyed it. interesting history and amazing views. One bit of advice is not to go with a tour company who charge $60+. We paid a taxi driver 40 Sol, and 10 sol for entry (about $20). The...More

I took an uber to and from Pachacamac. It was about s/60 from Miraflores. I also got my guide when I arrived, there were several waiting for groups. I think we paid s/25 for a guided tour for 4, which was very reasonable.

I would recommend hiring a tour guide who can provide transportation and a narrative so you know what you're seeing. It's not expensive and definitely worth it.
