We visited this museum plus the MATE museum next door in an afternoon. It was a nice break from the busier neighborhoods of Lima/Miraflores. Would recommend doing both as they aren't super big and each offer something completely different.

Interesting to look round a colonial style house and imagine it when occupied. The second, back quarters were more interesting as they were furnish. There is also a museum on the premises housing a good selection of silverware. The gardens could have been developed more.
