A little of history is always good so you can better connect to Peru's history and its people. I would not advise to visit the Huaca(s) alone, my visit was part of a Bike tour I found on exploorperu.com which also included a tour at...More

So...there really isn't much to see here: a small museum and a restored Huaca but it's worth the 5 soles admission. This Huaca is located in the heart of San Isidro so is safe to get to and stroll around. I didn't visit the Huaca...More

Some part of ramp should be built recently. When you get up there, you see some archeology sites of ordinary people lives. A small museum also shows so artifacts.

This place is a short ride from Miraflores close to the city center. Great place to go back in time on how the incas buried their dead. Nice grounds , great views from the top of the site.

Very good English translations at all the write ups. Actually had a better write up and display on the funerary rites than the larger site.

This site is a gem in the city center. Information in Spanish and English. For a few soles you can soak it all in and you do not need to pay $40 bucks for a tour.

It is quite strange than in a city as built up as Lima, there are a los of hidden gems in the form old Huacas than range from 2000-1200 years all. This one is pretty impressive even if it is smaller than the Pucllama, but...More
