Rio Rimac in Lima is just not a pretty site! Definitely not worth searching for, although you will most likely walk near it, exploring other parts of Lima. The river itself is small, dirty, and very unattractive! There are a lot of nice sites along the river though like parks, and markets. But there is a lot of work here... More

They are laying either a new river bed or make improvements to the river banks. Anyway it does not look attractive. There's not much water in the river, and the Rimac district on the other side looks depressing

The Rio Rimac is a sad little river with barely a trickle of water. The river is a five minute walk north from Plaza de Armas. The potential is great, there are riverside parks and riverside restaurants, but the river itself isn't that attractive to look at. You can cross it on the Puente de Piedra also known as the... They are investing a lot into creating green zones along this main river of Lima. But as of yet it remains something sad to look at. It is one of my passions to help restore/protect this river.

It is a river and nothing more. Flows from the mountains to the ocean. Lots of water flowing during the rainy season in the mountains.

The Rimac river is a hardly a river -- it spends most of its year dried up, exposing the toxic sludge and trash that lines it. Expect to see frequent trash fires along its banks, as people dump there at will, and burn the junk with abandon. The surrounding area is seen as dangerous even by other Peruvians, who often... I don't think it could be qualified as "attraction". There's a zoo in Atarjea (Huachipa), but nothing else.
