Authentic Lares Trek with Local Trekkers Peru.
The Lares Trek was one of the most beautiful treks I have done in my entire life. Me and my family chose Local Trekkers Peru, as our operator, and in the end we made a very good decision. Alberto the Manager, provided us with everything he promised us, good camping equipment, a good guide, a super cook who fed us very well throughout the tour and thanks to him I think we gained a few extra kilos hahaha. The landscapes and the local people make this trek something very mystical and authentic, it is not very crowded like other treks and the fact of feeling in the heights with no one more than a few people is something that fills your soul and especially finishing the adventure visiting machupicchu is a dreamed ending. Local Trekkers made our experience unfforgetable and we highly recommend them for the Lares trek to MachuPicchu.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at Lares Trek with Terra Quechua Peru
We used Terra Quechua Peru for the Lares trek to Machu Picchu for 4 days, we loved it and enjoyed every second of it. everything was very well organised down to the smallest detail, the Lares Trek was a really fun and challenging trip that we will never forget! It's a great alternative route for those who want a less intense trek and for those who want to meet some of the locals and take in some of the Peruvian Andean culture. our guide Jorge was amazing! Kind, understanding, knowledgeable and enthusiastic: exactly the kind of energy we needed for a trip like this! We were able to learn about him and his culture throughout the trip. He also speaks Quechua, so we were able to interact with the people we met along the way and the food was amazing, some of the best we ate during our stay in Peru. The views and wildlife we encountered were breathtaking and the visit to Machu Picchu was fantastic, I highly recommend it

    Great Cultural hike with Orange!
The views here are unbelievable, and this route is much less travelled to Machu Picchu. My wife and I went over Labor Day weekend 2023 and it was only us and our guide (required for this route). I believe we saw 2 other groups the whole 4 days. Also, we camped in local villages and met our hosts who were very gracious. A very cool experience. There were women along the trail and at some of our campsites that were selling woven goods / other trinkets and we got to try some chicha (corn beer). There are many animals along the route (llamas, alpacas, donkeys, horses, sheep). We had cooks and a mule team...they were all very nice and put in a lot of work for us. We felt we didn't deserve them, but I believe this is how all tour companies operate here. Once in Aguas Calientes we left early the next morning and hiked to Machu Picchu (lots of stairs). We also went up to the top of Machu Picchu Mountain which (vs Huayana Picchu) is steeper, longer (2.5 -3 hours), and less popular. Either of those hikes are optional and a permit is required. We went with Orange Nation Peru. They were by far the best choice ever!

I had an unforgettable time at Lares Trek
the travel company Terra Quechua Peru; I designed an itinerary according to my holiday days, they offered me tour to Lares Trek and Palcoyo mountain which was perfect. Great scenery, quiet areas, nice to see the local communities working in their fields and looking after their alpacas. Our lovely guide Josue had fascinating stories to tell us throughout the trip. He spoke very good English and was very kind to us. Adrian, our chef, made amazing meals and we were impressed every time! I didn't expect to eat as well high up in the mountains as we were, what a great team, I highly recommend them!

We had an exceptional experience on the Lares 4 day trek.
We did the Lares trek 4 days tour with my 3 friends from Canada with Terra Quechua Peru and we found it fabulous: the organization from the beginning until the day we left Cusco was very well planned, our guide was Carlos and he was always on top of the smallest detail so that the whole service was impeccable. The views on this trip are incredible and he's very informative about everything he sees along the way. You also get to see small villages and meet some of the people. It really is an unique experience. I really recommend you try this hike yourself because words cannot fully describe how amazing this trip was.

As the Inka Trek was full, we decided to do the Lares Trek. It was an unforgettable experience. Everything was very well organised by Terra Quechua Peru and their team, our guide Josue and the chef Benabidez did an exceptional job. Josue showed us and explained everything about life in the past and now in the Andes. He had answers to any questions we had. We saw a lot of wildlife and met Andean people along our hike. Chef Benabidez did an amazing job with the cooking, all super delicious. Our luggage was carried by horses, with David our rider. All the guys were very kind and friendly, which made the trek so perfect, I highly recommend this whole trek!

My family and I 6 people in total, we experienced the lares trek of 4 days and 3 nights with Local Trekkers Peru, and let me tell you, it was amazing, more than we could imagine. The breathtaking Andean scenery, the warm hospitality of the local communities, and the well-organized tour made this adventure one for the books. I particularly thank Alberto the Manager for organizing such an adventure for us.
The trek itself was challenging but rewarding. The views of the mountains and valleys were simply amazing, and our guide, Raul, was knowledgeable and attentive throughout the journey. We felt safe and supported every step of the way.
Meeting the locals and staying in their villages was a highlight of the trip. It was a unique opportunity to learn about their traditions and immerse myself in their way of life. The homestay experience was unforgettable, and the kindness of the people left a lasting impression on me.
The food provided during the trek by Paulino our Cook was delicious and gave us the energy needed to keep going. The food that Paulino provided us was very well balanced with carbohydrates and proteins. with fresh products and above all abundant for everyone in the group.

The Local Trekkers Peru team ensured that all aspects of the trip were well organized, from transportation to meals and accommodations. That is why we highly Local Trekkers Peru for the Lares Trek or any other adventure in Peru. It was a well rounded and unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever. Thank you, Local Trekkers, for making this trip so special.

The Lares trek with Alpaca Expeditions was highly memorable. A little challenging if you are not an experienced hiker as it goes up to a high altitude, but the scenery is stunning and unforgettable.

Everything about this 4 day Lares trek experience, from start to finish, was great, Terra Quechua Peru organised an experience I will never forget. Their communication was excellent in the planning phase and the team that led the trek ensured the best possible experience. The cook somehow orchestrated amazing meals, the guide was incredibly friendly, entertaining and informative, he was constantly checking in on us, seeing how we were feeling and making jokes along the way to keep our spirits up 100%.
It's an awe-inspiring and often challenging journey. . . I'm so glad I was able to do this as part of the trek as it felt much less commercial and much quieter than some of the very touristy places like Rainbow Mountain, Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. Highly recommended!🤩🤩

A group of friends We have just finished our 4 day trek and had a SUPER FUN time. Terra Quechua Peru organised an experience we will never forget. Their communication was excellent in the planning phase and the team that led the trek ensured the best possible experience. Our tour guide Manuel was AMAZING the whole way, and the information and support they provided was excellent! Also our cook and porter were amazing, and the food produced throughout the trip was of an incredible standard!
We enjoyed a unique adventure as we trekked through the incredible landscapes of the Andes with this trekking route through the Lares Valley. Incredible Andean scenery, we visited villages located thousands of metres above sea level, and on the last day we enjoyed the magic of one of the New 7 Wonders of the Modern World: Machu Picchu.
Everything was beyond my wildest expectations, I highly recommend this trek.
