We traveled to Machu Picchu and back. We were created by excellent staff and enjoyed the scenario and experience on the train. Specially Edgar Samuel was super helpful because we almost lost the train and he helped us quickly to get on and with our luggage and all with a great smile... he was very kind. The train is beautiful,... More

It's a beautiful ride on the train to Aguas Calientes. The gateway to Machu Piccu. There are incredible views. They also serve you a drink and a snack. On the way back there is a fashion show with high end sweaters you can purchase.

The part of the Sacred Valley that this train travels through is so scenic, it's worth the trip even if you're not going to Machu Picchu. They served better food on the train than we had in some of the restaurants, and provided an alpaca fashion show on the way back!

We took the train from Ollytaytambo to Machu Picchu as part of any organised tour. The train was comfortable although we had an upgraded carriage (I think). A snack and drink were provided in both directions and we were treated to a fashion show on the return leg. A far cry from what you see on UK trains! Scenery is... More

Both the Inca Rail and Peru Rail both go from Ollantaytambo to Machu Pichu and return. Both the rail services are good. We went on the Inca Rail, and the train was on time, very clean, there was no real rush to get in and get settled and you also get a drink and a biscuit on board ! I... More

Our trekking company -Wayki Trek- did the train ticket booking as part of our 2 day Inca Trail trek package. They know the best combination of trains! We (my husband and I with our two twenty something sons) took the 6:30am Vistadome from Poroy station to 104km marker to begin our 2 day Inca trail hike with Wayki Trek. The... More

An vintage train experience with very modern service. A wonderfully traditional train car with modern amenities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good. And, most importantly, the train left and arrived on time.
