The Botanical Garden features mostly trees. We had hoped to learn more about indigenous varieties, but the garden features exotics from around the world. Still, the trails are pleasant and the shade is refreshing. A nice stroll through an urban oasis.

This is one of Montevideo´s wonderfully treed parks. Signs on many trees are explanatory, and there are some beautiful fountains with lily pads and sculptures. The cool breeze was most welcome. Not too big to walk all the way around.
