I really enjoyed this market, more than the other one in Old City. This market is in a good shape, very organized and clean, spacious, with a food court. Very nice options of restaurants.

There are several eateries inside. I have tried them and found the food is good. Service is snappy as if for working folks on a specific lunch hour.
Found some shops here worth the visit. A kitchen shop had many imported products of very good quality. Ice cream. Fruits and veggies.
The touring company did a pit stop for our toilets shopping n food ! Lovely part of Uruguay n retailers selling everything from drink food natural organic products to clothing assessories n etc... not too crowded or touristy just pleasant !

Clean tile floors lead visitors from stall to stall in a huge structure gifted Montevideo by Belgium. Vegetables, sweets, books, excellent leather goods and more await your purchase. It's the cleanest and finest market of this type that I have seen --- worldwide.
