I really enjoyed this market, more than the other one in Old City. This market is in a good shape, very organized and clean, spacious, with a food court. Very nice options of restaurants.

There are several eateries inside. I have tried them and found the food is good. Service is snappy as if for working folks on a specific lunch hour.

Found some shops here worth the visit. A kitchen shop had many imported products of very good quality. Ice cream. Fruits and veggies.

This is type of the place very common in Brasil. Nice to visit, but not fancy. The snacks selection sold in the place is regular as in any other supermarket.

Built between 1905 and 1915, the Market is located in an area served by roads that, from different parts of the territory, provided products to the capital. It houses over 100 outlets including greengrocers, specialty shops, gourmet products, meat varieties, cold meats, cheeses, seafood, natural...More

I'm not completely sure that this should be classified a main tourist attraction especially considering how far from the centre or from Pocitos this is. We got an uber here from our hotel, had a wonder around for 15 mins and then were done! There's...More

We took the local bus from the old port area to find this attraction which was highly recommended. After wandering the streets a bit we finally found the MAM, which was really just a relatively small collection of tourist shops. We spent about 10 minutes...More

Located a few blocks (5 min. walking) from the Palacio Legislativo, the Mercado Agrícola is a good option for a lunch or a quick snack. It is not big so you can see all the stands in less than one hour. There is a food...More

Clean tile floors lead visitors from stall to stall in a huge structure gifted Montevideo by Belgium. Vegetables, sweets, books, excellent leather goods and more await your purchase. It's the cleanest and finest market of this type that I have seen --- worldwide.

Good Day and Happy New Year ! ! ! The responses from CARLOS O & Monicucha were spot on. Not knowing where you are staying or if you are arriving by Cruise Ship might be the other intangible at this point. If you are... More
