We chose to go independently by taxi F$70 each way from Port Denarau rather than a group tour as we did not need to see the temple school craft market etc and thus it was much cheaper and we had longer to go at our own pace. The lovely hostesses who guide you through the process will look after your... More

Funny thing is I wouldn't do this at home. But when in Fiji, do as the Fijians do. Its a great feeling that really cools you off when you get out of the pool.

I had the chance of visiting the hot spring & mud bath spar with some friends from Africa. It was an interesting experience especially watching the locals going about their friendly. First was the mud bath spa followed by a relaxing bath in the warm hot spring followed by soothing coconut oil massage. One can always feel the lightness or... More

We were on a cruise and one of the shore excursions was a trip to the Mud Pools, we chose a private driver as there were 4 of us and saved more than $200. Our driver paid the fee to enter so we don't know the cost but imagine it was not expensive. A bucket full of mud was supplied... More

Washing the mud off is so refreshing after a hot day in Nadi. We had an amazing tour guide who told us awesome stories about the history of the mud pools. I even went for a second round the next day in the concrete mud pool which was more self guided. Unfortunate it kept making me look 10 years younger... More

Excellent family fun thing to do in Fiji. We (family of 5) stayed in The Hilton @ Denarau, took a taxi for $70 each way to the mud pools- this meant no time limit and our driver was more than happy to stop over at the shop and restaurant for local meal afterwords before driving us back to the hotel... Mud was in a bucket in the middle of a grassy area. Once applied to body, stepped into a disgusting boggy med pool, then finally into a nicer hot pool. Showers had a few bits (not exaggerating) of plastic hanging from rod. Long gravel road to get here. Not worth it.

Great fun, a bit uncomfortable when entering the first pool to wash the mud off, but overall a great and fun experience

We were on a private tour and went to the mud baths. The staff were friendly and helpful. The whole day was fun. Would recommend it.

The mud bath was loads of fun, you get a bucket full of mud and rub it all over your body & face it's very very hot mud, then you stand in the sun wait for it to dry. Then you go into a very muddy hot pool to wash all mud off, then into 3 others all different temperatures... More
